DíviNa is an esoteric tool. It can be used  to communicate with the subconscious by using your intuition.

It is highly inspired by Tarot, but DíviNa has no cards. Instead, it requires only a sheet of paper and a dice. This is because DíviNa is also inspired by the paper fortune tellers a lot of us used to play as kids. It is an attempt to present something as complex as tarot in a more playful way.

DíviNa is also influenced by my personal practice, so it is quite ambiguous on purpose, as that’s what I usually prefer. But as this is an introspection tool feel free to expand or change this system as you want to make it your own.

The World of Dívina

The world of Dívina is made of four elements: Silicon, Tears, Stars and Birds. Each one of these elements represents a part of ourselves. Parts that are constantly evolving, in a never ending journey. In the world of DíviNa it is said that all journeys have six stages, that cycle, again and again.

Dívina exists in a different dimension to ours, protected by a door  hidden so well that only a few, the patient, can find it. There’s two artifacts one needs to open the door: a map, and a key. The map is our sheet of paper, the key is our dice. Once at the door breathe and ask your question. The world of Dívina has no limits, it holds all the knowledge one can ever need, you just need to ask the right questions.

The Four Elements

SILICON

The Material. Represents what connects us to the physical world. Our home, environment, resources, and our relationship with all of it.

TEARS

The Unseen. Represents our heart, spirituality and emotions. Joy, sadness, hope, despair, everything we feel.

STARS

The Ego. Represents our inner spark, creativity and inspiration, our visceral selves. Is the power that makes us go forward, to create, to rebel.

BIRDS

The Mind. Represents our intellectual selves, our seek for truth and justice, and also our inner conflicts.

A Reading With DíviNa

• Ask your question. It’s better usually to avoid yes/no questions, as it is out of reach of what an introspection tool can do. It’s always better to ask questions like: What energy could be helpful in this situation? Or, what energy should I be avoiding?
• Then roll your dice, the number you’ll get corresponds to a stage in your journey.
• Then alternate opening the map the number of times based on the stage number you  obtained in the previous step.
• Choose one of the eyes in the opening left.
• Lift the flap and expose an element.
• Now that you have an element and a stage on its journey, just think about how both meanings intertwine, and how they are related to your question. Take your time and be patient, interpreting the secret meanings hidden in DíviNa is not a trivial task.

Instructions

To use DíviNa you'll need just a couple of things:

• The Key: a d6 dice
• The Map: to get the map download the printable. It contains the instructions needed to build it.

Tip: while printing, make sure everything is at 100% scale, and no borders are applied to the image. If your printer doesn't support this option you can just cut the borders, the map will end up being slightly smaller, but equally functional.
